Santa Maria has the pleasure of welcoming Sister Maureen Flynn, A.S.C.J. as principal of Santa Maria School.  Sister Maureen comes to us from New Haven, Connecticut where she served as principal for 6 years at the Sacred Heart Academy.  Prior to Sacred Heart Academy, she taught at Blessed Sacrament School in Connecticut, Our Lady of Loreto in Pennsylvania and spent 16 years at Cor Jesu Academy in St. Louis, Missouri where she served as dean of students and then assistant principal.  Her educational background includes a Master of Arts in Teaching of Secondary Math from St. Louis’ Webster University and a Master of Arts in School Administration from Fordham University. Without question, the invaluable experiences afforded to her by past roles within diverse schools and the insight she gained from leading professors within her programs position her to succeed at this new juncture.

We are honored to have Sister Maureen in the Bronx and part of our community!
