On February 15, 2023, the Office of the Superintendent of Schools in the Archdiocese of New York announced, with great sadness, that Santa Maria School, and 11 others, will cease operations at the end of the current academic year.
We invite parents to visit https://catholicschoolsny.org/announcements for additional information on this development, who to contact, how to find alternative Catholic schools in New York City, and what to do next.
PLEASE NOTE: STUDENT RECORDS HAVE BEEN MOVED TO THE ARCHIVES OF THE ARCHDIOCESE OF NEW YORK. For information, please contact the Archives at transcripts@archny.org or at (914) 476-6333.
Located in the Bronx neighborhood of Westchester Square, Santa Maria School has been educating children since 1951. The school offers rigorous academics and a caring, values-based atmosphere for students in grades UPK to 8th.
A small Catholic school with one class per grade, Santa Maria is a tight-knit family. Students receive daily instruction in Catholic teachings, traditions, and values. We welcome children of all faiths, as their diversity enriches our community.
Interested in learning more about or applying to Santa Maria School? Visit us for an Open House or contact us to arrange a tour and learn more about our program.
