Each year we offer several 8-week after-school enrichment sessions. These are one-hour classes that meet once a week taught by teachers, parents, and volunteers and provide students with unique experiences at as low a cost as possible to parents. Enrichment offerings have included cooking classes, drama and art clubs, Irish Step Dancing classes, knitting instruction, baseball clinics, and street games classes.
We strive to provide as many opportunities to students as possible and extracurricular activities include basketball and softball teams, yearbook, after school tutoring, Girl Scouts and much more. These activities give children a chance to shine at Santa Maria outside of the classroom in many different ways.
Students in 4th through 8th grades have the option to join the school choir. Students meet once a week after school to practice as a group. This choir performs at school and family masses, and they are an integral part of the school’s Christmas show each December.
